You and I - Ingrid Michaelson

Ok so the quality isn't the best (aka my guitar doesn't sound that horrendous in real life), but guys!! I finally got it to work. Please enjoy... hopefully.

IT'S COMING... i promise.

OK so this has taken me way too long. After I posted my last post, my perfectionism kicked in and nothing I had recorded was quite good enough to send out into the world wide web. But I finally have one i am excited about so..., youtube permitting, I will have the video up here by friday or saturday. If it's not up you all can... just keep checking back because it will make it up eventually ;)

day who cares: I give up

30 days of pre planned post topics? What was I thinking... Way too structured which equals way too stressful. I'm jumping ship and moving on. I realize that it is 1:52 AM and that I should be sleeping, but I'm just not tired. I have been having too much fun playing my guitar and singing along. This brings me to the next edition of posts I will start doing shortly. ...

Guys this is big.

so, i play guitar and sing, but only behind closed doors. I have recently decided that those who are wonderful (and bored enough) to read my blog will get to see some of the videos of me performing for nobody. Get ready... it's coming....

I just love playing and singing so much that I figure it is sort of a waste if nobody ever gets to enjoy it besides me! Ok, now that it is typed up, I'm committed.

day 12: a picture of something you love.

Oh wow... I haven't posted anything since March 17th? Maybe I was busy... or maybe I just really wanted anyone that checked out my blog to be greeted by that last lovely picture.. either way here is day twelve.

MY ROOMMATES. My family away from family... (five minutes away but no less loved)
I feel so blessed to have had such great roommates who have, over the months, become great friends and can't wait to be reunited in JULY!

YYYEEEEEAAAAHHHH! Roommates EVERYWHERE!

Day 10: a picture of your favorite place in the world.

Again, this isn't fair... I am just not a "favorites" kind of person. Why did I even think I could do this whole 30 day challenge. HA. Well, I will ease into this post with a nice quote about travel:

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page."
-St. Augustine

Annnnndddddd..... These are both nice.........

Ok, now I will stop avoiding the question. Actually, I will keep avoiding it and be vague in my answer. I LOVE TO TRAVEL. I have been lucky enough to have seen some amazing destinations in my short nineteen years on this beautiful, diverse earth. My memories from those various trips are priceless. I feel that it is so important to experience different cultures and to learn about all of God's children all over the earth. We all need to embrace our differences and learn to accept everyone around us. (That could have been on the inside wrapper of a Dove chocolate... Summer Job?) Do I have a favorite place I have traveled? That is like asking Dolly Parton if she has a favorite hairpiece! Well, it is nothing like that but I bet she would say no. No she doesn't. She loves them all.

But then again, I have no special place in my heart for Dolly and do not desire to grow up to inherit her indecisiveness so I will commit and say my favorite place was...(and I am 99% certain, always will be)...

New York, New York. My first travel love.

Day 9: A picture of the [people] who have gotten you through the most.

It's a tie. It may sound cliche, but of course it's my parents. They have always been there for me, literally, they have no choice. Something that I have come to realize about parents is how lucky we are to have both a mother and a father. Each is different in their role in raising the family, but we as children need those differences. I can go to my parents each for varying things. They both have their strengths. I have come to realize when I need someone to help me to make a decision, to lay things out for me, I tend to go to my dad. When I need some girl time and reassurance and a loving reminder of who I really am and what others see in me, I go to my mom. And it's not even that I couldn't go to the other parent in a vice versa sort of situation but they each have their roles and, to me, they play them perfectly. I learn so much from each of them and hope to one day be a part of a husband/wife team as great as theirs is.

Love you both and thank you for everything.

day eight: a picture that makes me laugh.

I have a soft spot in my heart for pictures that were taken when the subject was unaware.... like this gem.

Happy Family.

and then there are always cat pictures.

I AM ZEF.

day seven: a picture of my most treasured item.

oops. Looks like I let a few days slide by... Oh well. I don't think anyone is really too devastated by this fact. So, my most treasured item? Yikes and Bikes as my roommate would say.

So there it is, my most treasured item..... You don't get it? You really must not know me.

Hahaha ok, I guess I will explain myself. Being my indecisive self I tried to select an "item" that would include as many things as possible. My Memory. Ha yeah that probably doesn't count but I really do treasure my memory. I have had a lot of great times and great things and they are all living together in harmony in my mind. This still does not explain the picture. I wasn't quite sure how to put a picture of my memory so I googled "my memory" and this is what came up. She seems happy right? Well so is the majority of my memory. I figure this is the "asian twin" of my memory. (I hope a few of you reading this get that little joke.)

THE END

day six: a picture of a person I would like to trade places with for a day.

This man.

No, not Donald Trump, the other one. The one who gets to experience the wonder that is the Donald's Mysterious Do. His hair has often baffled me...
But on a more honest note, I don't think I would trade places with a specific person for a day... well... maybe Justin Bieber, or maybe not. I would probably just trade with someone insanely rich, use their private jet and travel all over the world either East or West, which ever would save me more time therefore making the most of my "day".
